Commission a Painting

Commissioning a painting can be a beautiful way to preserve a meaningful place or time in life. Whether ordering for yourself or as a gift, you can select the size and options that work best for you.

Getting Started

Commissions begin with a conversation with the artist. Share whatever ideas you may have for your painting... size, color preferences, deadline, etc.

If you have a photograph you would like to share, that is a great place to start! If not, don't worry! We can begin by discussing your idea, a favorite painting of mine you love, or the space you want to fill with your new artwork.

Once we agree all the details of your custom order, I will request a 50% deposit from you to confirm your spot. The remaining 50% will be due when the painting is complete.

Your Idea turned into a beautiful painting

Once I have a clear idea of your concept, I will create a plan for your custom painting. The plan consists of a small painting I make to convey the layout, colors, and overall look of the painting.

I'll send you a photo of the plan and wait for your approval or edits. This is a great opportunity to make sure your desired outcome aligns with my vision for your painting.

Finishing Options

To give your painting a finished look, I paint the edges of the canvas. I typically paint on stretched canvas 1.5" deep. Painting the edges gives a finished look without being framed.

You can also request a painting be framed. I may also paint the edges when a floating frame is requested in order to create a seamless look.

Ready to Get Started?

It's easy to get started on your custom painting. Simply email me at elang@betweentheevergreens.com with as much information as you have (size, deadline, inspiration photos, etc.). I will respond within a few days with a custom quote.

Custom orders should be placed at least two months in advance of requested due date. Depending on current commission schedule, orders may take three or more months.
