This was an incredible place that left me breathless in both good and bad ways. I was overwhelmed by the beauty and anxious to begin the hike into the sand basin area. Its beauty was stunning with views of the dunes and the Guadalupe Mountains National Park in the distance. We brought water, but soon no amount would seem enough. Once we got between the dunes, the wind stopped and the sun was relentless. Without shade, the 100 plus degree heat made me stop and rest just a short distance in. I still love looking at the photos from this place, but find it even more inspiring to do so from my cool studio with water nearby.
**Please note, the bottom of this painting has two marks (shown in photo) on the wood edge. This is an accidental mark made when signing.**
I have left the edges of this painting unfinished to add a natural border. Painting can be hung from wooden frame (not wired) to sit flush against the wall.
